Adam Catching, Virophysics

All things combining physics and viruses. From atomic structures of the viral machinery to the dynamics of viral infection to the trajectories of quasispecies evolution.

I am a Ph.D. Candidate in Biophysics program in the Andino lab at UCSF. I work with Enteroviruses, from Poliovirus to Rhinovirus, studying how the adaptations from evolutionary pathways manifest as physical mechanisms.

Images shown are all generated by myself through light and electron microscopy.
